This Mazda SUV is about the same size as the current Mazda CX-3 and upcoming CX-30, but what makes it special is that it will come as an all-electric or hybrid SUV. It's expected to go on sale in the United State soon. That's not all that's special about this car, though, so we wanted to highlight some other neat features. Whet your appetite on this preview until you can pick up yours at Chico Mazda.

All-Electric Mazda

This will be the first all-electric vehicle from Mazda, and will also be available with a hybrid option, which is also a first for the US market. We don't have all the details of what sort of performance to expect when cruising through Biggs, CA, but we know the electric Mazda MX-30 will use a 35.5-kWh lithium-ion battery and a front-mounted electric motor. This will likely be a Front-Wheel Drive SUV.

Modern Design

The Mazda MX-30 has a striking look that has been uncompromisingly designed around the driver. Its freestyle doors allow you to open up the cabin to the fresh air without the crowding of a center post. Mazda wants this to not only give the Mazda MX-30 a more open feeling but also give you the freedom to find your creativity around Artois, CA and make this car truly your own.

Sustainably Built and Run

Not only are the electric and hybrid powertrains helping the environment around Redding, CA, so are the materials used to build out the interior of Mazda MX-30. The Heritage Cork that gives the center console its texture is harvested from the bark of trees without felling, and the door trim is made from recycled plastic bottles. Mazda has put a lot of care into making sure its materials are responsibly sourced and formed into a high-quality interior.
